Partnering - Collaboration Opportunities

Spirogen seeks partner companies and institutions to work with it in a number of areas of drug and technology development. Spirogen is seeking collaboration opportunities in the following areas:

Clinical development of lead anti-cancer drugs

Spirogen's SG2285 is in advanced pre-clinical development. A confidential data overview is available for this drug on request.

Complementary antibody and prodrug activation technologies for Spirogen's novel, sequence-selective, cytotoxic agents

Potent cytotoxic agents based on small molecule DNA minor groove-binding, cross-linking and single strand-linking molecules are suited to both antibody-targeted and prodrug therapies. Linking and protecting technologies have been developed and are available for testing with targeting systems. Spirogen seeks risk sharing drug development collaborations in this field.

Anti-infective drug development

A number of Spirogen molecules have potent anti-bacterial activity against drug resistant bacteria. Spirogen seeks commercial development partners for these molecules and a broader collaboration for the application of Spirogen's gene targeting technology to the field of anti-infective drug development.

Oral Anti-Malarial AS-1-145 (Centanamycin)

Centanamycin is an achiral analogue of duocarmycin that alkylates in the minor groove of DNA in a sequence-selective manner. It is a highly potent cytotoxic agent in vitro, and whilst possessing impressive in vivo anti-tumor activity following both intravenous and oral administrations, it is its potent anti-malarial properties which are outstanding. Centanamycin not only acts directly to kill the Plasmodium parasite but has the remarkable ability to confer sterile immunity to malarial insult through chemical attenuation of the infectious sporozoites. Spirogen is actively seeking partners to develop orco-develop Centanamycin as an anti-malarial drug. A confidential data pack is available.
